Fattoria Colsanto estate
In 2001 Fattoria Colsanto was founded in the very heart of Umbria, being located in the DOCG area of Montefalco, in Bevagna municipality. A 20-hectares vineyard property with 7500 plants/hectare of different grape varieties: Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Merlot. The vineyards surround the historical XVIII century farmhouse. The winery has been completely renovated with the best technological facilities that produces 3 wines: Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso and Ruris, a blend of Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Merlot grapes.
Our Wines
The Montefalco DOCG area is located in the green heart of Umbria. Despite its recent history in winemaking, archeological discoveries show that the Etruscans were already cultivating vines, even before the Roman age. A medium clay and alkaline soil, rich in mineral salts, enables the production of excellent quality wines.
